1. Roe v. Wade
과거 성폭행으로 원치 않은 임신을 하게 된 Roe는 주법 때문에 임신중절을 할 수 없게 되자, 주 정부에 소송을 걸었고 그 때 주 정부의 입장을 대변했던 담당 검사가 Wade였습니다. 당시 미국 연방대법원은 임신 중절은 임신 당사자의 권리라는 판결을 내렸고 그 사건이 선례가 되어 이후 지금까지 임신 중절이 여성의 권리가 된 지 50여 년이 흘렀습니다. 그런데 판결이 뒤집히는 사건이 오늘 일어난거죠. 뉴욕 타임즈 브리핑 원문을 한 번 살펴 보도록 하겠습니다.
